What an honour it was to join and record such a dynamic panel discussion this morning, about Hacking HR: Understanding the Principles of #projectmangement #pm.
Kelley Diona Miller served as chair of the panel and did a wonderful job. Thank you, Enrique, Hacking HR, for asking me to be part of the panel. The dialogue with Himanshu and Kate was easy as these leaders’ HR and project management insights and stories were so compelling!
Kate is an #HR professional who is also a Certified Project Manager- a rare dual professional. Throughout her career in HR, she has managed large-scale complex HR projects, including several with company-wide impact, and that lived experience was obvious during our discussion. Her ability to identify and navigate nuances specific to managing HR projects across functions, businesses, or regions lends to her unique perspective as an HR professional/PM.
@Himanshu spent two decades of his career in the Indian Navy. Then he went to MIT Sloan School of Management. He currently is a business mentor at MIT spin-off called the Forum, where a lot of budding entrepreneurs and young startups, come with their ideas, they come with their initial stage of the venture, and the whole ecosystem there helps them grow big, and connect them to the right kind of investors and give them a business framework so that their idea becomes more attuned to the customers.
Both Kate and Himanshu brought to the conversation their practical lived experience of actually governing and implementing projects.
Again thank you Himanshu Joshi and Kate Talty, CCP, PMP, Prosci® for taking the time and for sharing so many great insights, it was a pleasure – and thanks for Kelley Diona Miller for being such a welcoming host :)!
